September has barely started, but I can't help but think of how crazy and insane this summer has been. Like, January has totally affected it. The only thing I was looking forward to was Summer Reading. All of the hope I had lost in January left me with Zero Expectations, and having the most Annoying teams in the Stanley Cup Playoffs didn't help anything. But then, in the midst of that maddening slow burn, the year's first Nintendo Direct went live. Even the day before was hectic: yeah, the direct was announced, but so was an hour-long Defunctland Documentary. So, when I woke up before 7 that fateful Tuesday June morning, I already had a lot on my plate. Then, in the next 40 minutes, a string of miracles happened: The return of the Mario & Luigi series, the AAI port, and honest-to-god footage of Metroid Prime 4, 7 years after it was teased. Don't forget the new Mario Party, as well as a Zelda game where you actually play as her. The aftermath of Nintendo Directs are usually quite fun, though. Part of it is just Freaking Out over the announcements. Edmonton sadly didn't get swept, but it would've been beyond cathartic. That following weekend was rather nice, though. I started reading Fullmetal Alchemist a week or two prior, and I was eager to continue, since I had more delivered that Saturday. That's when we bought an entire box of dulcet nama chocolate at the mall, as well as my beloved mango cake at the bakery nearby. To my (and everyone's) dismay, Edmonton still went undefeated when we arrived home that night. After a restful Sunday, Game 7 aired on Monday evening. I was hoping for Edmonton's elimination after such a painful, aggravating first round, so it was Now or Never. So, later on, (after an Agonizing wait) the evil was defeated, and there was Much Rejoicing. Summer started a couple days late this year, but I didn't mind. The day after was nice, too. The days following July 4th were so stressful, though. There's no fun when it comes to illegal fireworks, hockey trades, or presidential debates. What I woke up to on July 1st is something I'm still not over. I guess I've calmed down since, but I'm going to miss the guys we traded So much. The day after did help me calm my nerves, though. I watched LA's announcement video for the regular season's schedule, and was swiftly reminded of Defunctland's masterful documentary on the Disney Channel jingle. Even if they both used a corkboard with string and paper, what a connection that was. July 4th was okay, though. I did see some cute little rabbits at the part we watch fireworks from, and I later saw a post that accurately compared that night to The Purge. When we got home, I Booked it to the bathroom, since I saw kind of a lot of people standing around outside the house. Two days later, we left for our annual road trip to Seattle. The first thing we did was to stop at the coveted (by me) Westfield Southcenter mall. Last year, we Barely scratched the surface, so it was only natural that we spent a hearty 3 hours checking out everything I wanted to. Including this hallway that has stuck out in my mind for... whatever reason, ever since Last October. It could be Smack-Dab in the middle of the building, for all I know. I only bought things, though. The self-restraint I was pulling was Crazy. When we arrived at the hotel, I beelined to one of the beds and napped for a little. The Last Jedi was on while the evening's activities and dinner was being discussed. I was Out during a lot of it, but I remember it Vividly. After dinner, we visited the Space Needle and managed to see the sun setting. I also spotted some kid with a Nintendo DS. On our only full day, we visited the aquarium and Pike Place. There's this bakery we stopped by, and I got the Josephine pastry I've wanted since last year. The wait was worth it, I'd say. It was just a cream puff with strawberries, but it still was Really good. Our hotel room had a view of the Space Needle (and a power line), so I spent the night gazing at it as I listened to the stellar Poker Night soundtracks. It's what I've associated Seattle with for the past year. Oh, and we also visited Golden Age Collectables at Pike Place. Supposedly, it's the first-ever comics store. It's cool. I bought the two most recent Komi-san volumes I read initially. Yeah, so we returned home the day after, and we also stopped at the Woodland Park Zoo. Before that, though, when we were leaving the hotel, there were a ton of ballerinas nearby. It reminded me of a book I've read: Tiny Pretty Things. That sighting made my inner 6-year-old really happy. So, the weather during the whole trip was so very hot. I don't think I ever stopped sweating. That last day was no exception. The zoo was nice, but it was just so Sweltering out that we had to forgo seeing my beloved Toucan. I love hearing the clacking noises it makes with its beak. Still sweating our rears off, we visited this outdoor mall near a college town to get ice cream. We ended up sitting near someone who was getting interviewed. That was the last thing we did before driving back home. Although, I did take a picture of the convention building where they have PAX West.
Then, the following night, I received an Alarming notification on my phone. The final Splatfest was made Official, and the theme was, Past vs Present vs Future. It’s happening in two weeks from now, and it’s the last thing to anxiously anticipate until Autumn finally begins. Early that Friday morning, one quote was Ringing in my mind once I heard the news: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it’s called the present.” And that’s how I knew to choose Team Present. I still wonder about which team Emile chose. Then I woke up to the news about this disastrous incident regarding cyber-security… or something. The way it didn’t affect me was amusing. Since my mom arrived home late, we ended up watching the Opening Ceremony late as well. I saw people on tumblr call it “dull,” but I beg to disagree. I might’ve been skeptical in the beginning, but not once did I feel bored in those few hours. That surprise Lady Gaga performance was just the start. When I first saw that masked silhouette in a boat, in the Parisian sewers, I didn’t know what to think of them. They’re now the part I think about the most. Seeing them run through the Louvre as the paintings were coming alive and as Danse Macabre was playing is one of my favorite parts. The section with Ravel’s Jeux d’eau was so dreamy, as well. The gloomy blue hour with the rain was gorgeous. The freaking Gojira performance from where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned, belittle, and then executed?! Literally insane. In-Seine, if you will. I loved it. My jaw was on the floor. In my eyes, nothing about it was dull, and it was raining the whole time!!! That might’ve ruined some of the instruments, but definitely not this ceremony. And so, that’s what I fixated on for the next several weeks. I’d watch some vlogs that were filmed in Paris and giggle madly whenever I spotted something that was in the Opening Ceremony. Even with such a rough, rocky, Sweltering start, July ended Gloriously. Other than that, August was just a chill month. I slowly but surely read my prize books from Summer Reading and stood in a 4 ½-hour long line. I thoroughly enjoyed a rare summer thunderstorm, watched the Democratic National Convention, and got super nostalgic over something that was on TV. The last week was alright, though. Just lying around, raring for Autumn to start. The last day was lovely, though. It was nice and toasty as I looked at journals and bought manga at Barnes & Noble. Today, in fact. Since then, not have I only been writing this whole entry, we went to WinCo, since we know better not to scab the Fred Meyer’s strike. We ended up seeing the most gorgeous, striking sunset on the way home. Oh, and it’s September now. Yay. Hockey season is so close. I can almost taste it. I just need to get over GrandFest to begin with. That’s next week, by the way. I am so not ready. I still plan to pull an all-nighter on the last night, though. (oh, that’s Saturday night. maybe I could get some coffee?) I accidentally took a nap when I planned to watch AA6 earlier. As if going to sleep at dawn earlier was bad enough. I still need to shower & paint my nails. I did take care of everything else, though. And now, to finally finish this entry, right before 5 am, with tarot cards:
Nice! That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
Todaybor day is Labour Day. After I woke up from my accidental nap last night, I found out that the Netflix subscription was renewed. It’s actually good timing because I’ve been thinking of parts from James Acaster’s Repertoire that I can’t find on YouTube. So, today’s headlines are that my new phone, it’s case, and the Jellycat plushies are (potentially) all getting delivered on Wednesday. And, on Thursday, I’m getting the FMA volumes I accidentally skipped over on Saturday. Yesterday reminded me of this day I had in September 2016. We visited the same WinCo, and I brought this digital camera, and I think this walkman that was purchased from a yard sale. Once we came back, I had it tuned to a classical music station as I wrote in that tiny notebook, all cooped up against my bed. Yeah, so it was actually overcast outside all day. An absolute respite from all of the godforsaken head we’ve had as of late. Even if it’ll come back later in the week, at least we can chill out for now. Yeah, so I’ve yet to read the volume of Ouran I bought on Saturday, but the thing is that I showered a couple hours ago, and I have new bottles of nail polish that I want to try out: Rainy Days by ILNP, and Follow Your Heart from OPI’s Hello Kitty collection. I have a feeling that it could look nice with Essie’s Astral Aura. So, with the cup of tea on my desk, and the lovely Tetris CD-i soundtrack playing on my laptop, I am here writing for almost an hour. I think I’ll finish my tea while I play Animal Crossing and at least Start Ouran volume 5. Then, as I’m watching/listening to whatever (Repertoire, perhaps?) I’ll finally paint my nails. Although, now that I think about it, I should check if there’s anything to jot down before I switch to my new phone. As well as check what I do have written down. (still need to continue the tarot guide…) So, before I do any of that, here are today’s tarot cards:
Nice. I approve That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡ (should i use Butler Please and Ethereal Escape for GrandFest? Hmmm…)
You’ll never guess what I found in the tumblr tag for Hatsune Miku. 30 seconds into the AAI episode, I spotted fanart of Miku as the torchbearer, posted on a fandom blog about them. Niche fandom blogs are regular tumblr nonsense, but this was a surprise to be sure. But a welcome one. I don’t think I’ll scroll through it, but I’m still caught off-guard. I can barely focus on anything. Although, I do appreciate the video of the torchbearer that was in the same post. Thanks, random fandom blog. You made my night. That’s why I’ve been on tumblr for seven years and counting. So, today’s headlines are that my Jellycats arrived!! They’re all super soft and so very cute. Also, sometime this month, there’s this rookie game happening in LA. Yeah, so I should be getting my new phone tomorrow. I don’t think it should be too different from my current one. I think it’s just a newer model. So, tonight, there’s a new event starting, which is why I’m going through this kinda early. Hopefully, I can actually read Ouran for once. I also did a lot of writing last night, and I want to continue that later. Speaking of later, have I mentioned that I can’t wait for hockey season? The wait is Agonizing. Before that happens, here are today’s tarot cards:
I just want to say that I Adore the masked torchbearer’s costume. The way it floats with their movements is just awesome to me. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡ (oh, damn. What’s the screen size of my new phone? looks about the same. Hmm…)
Hi, so my new phone should be getting here Tomorrow, actually. I mean, it’ll literally be Triple Digits outside, so I sure hope it does… What actually arrived Today are my copies of Fullmetal Alchemist 10 through 12. I now have a Staggering 6 volumes to read, which I hope to finish before GrandFest next weekend. So, it’s a good thing that I read through Ouran vol. 5 last night. Speaking of Grandfest, I should be getting the new Squid Sisters amiibo on Tuesday, I think. I’m hoping that I’ll find the Off the Hook amiibo on Saturday, since they actually release, well, tomorrow. Oh, and I’m almost done with [name]’s AA Investigations 1 let’s play. It’s great because, not only have I not seen it before, but it matches almost Perfectly with the port releasing on Friday. I now wonder and hope that I’ll hear [name] bring it up during a stream. So like, this might be too much to ask, but… Out of all things, could the weather chill out next weekend at Least? I have some Dire battles to fight, and there’s no Need to sweat bullets from the heat. For the time being, here are today’s cards:
Once I finish Animal Crossing for the day, I think I’ll just read and write before going to bed. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
(now realizing that i’m wearing a Queen t-shirt during Freddie Mercury’s birthday…) Hi. What happened today is that I received my new phone. Like I mentioned on Tuesday, it’s just a new model of my previous one. We had to go pick it up when I got it almost two years ago. It was mid-October, so it was raining like crazy. I would Kill for some crazy rain right now. I had to rush downstairs for my new phone because I was kind of afraid that the package would Explode under triple-digit weather. Oh, and I got new pencils before that. I’m not sure if I’ll use them tonight, since I haven’t read at all today. Just wrote and watched the uploads. I was also looking at and fiddling with my new phone, so… Anyways, after Several weeks of obsessively checking the website, Essie Finally and Officially has their Fall Collection out, so I Better see it at the store this weekend. For now, here are today’s cards:
Can I just say that I got really distracted while writing this? Took a whopping… 2 hours because I was futzing around on Google Docs. Well, I now need to shuffle the cards And play Animal Crossing after this. Yayyy. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
Hi. Today, the AAI port released, and I’m having fun seeing people post about it. I’m especially looking forward to seeing all the new names in the second game. Although, it feels crazy knowing that Every Ace Attorney game is available on the Switch. It’s like how I realized that we own Every Pikmin game, as well. Like, it’s insane, even as a concept. Yeah, so. I just got distracted by tumblr, and now I’m thinking about the book A Tangled Web, which I received as my second Summer Reading prize. Although, there’s a pretty big printing error that doesn’t let me read the occasional page. It sucks, because I have to Stop every so often just to write down the rest of the words. Although, I do have the feeling that it’ll go Incredibly Hard once that’s out of the way. So. There is 6 DAYS until GrandFest and I’m still not ready. In fact, part of me is almost dreading it. It’s kind of a Massive deal, though. I’m genuinely kind of worried. I feel like I might barely sleep next week. If there’s one thing, it’s the Rookie games that’re happening The Same Weekend as GrandFest. Could be nice to look and hear about, whenever I need a break next weekend. Man, what an Exciting Autumn this is turning out to be, huh? And the first weekend is barely beginning. Once Autumn starts, I feel like it just won’t stop. Well, I’m just about done with the heat, so I don’t particularly mind. So, I’m not anticipating anything crazy this weekend. It should just be the calm before the storm. But, if I’m proven wrong, you will know for Sure. Whatever happens, here are today’s cards:
6 days until GrandFest and I have 4 volumes of Fullmetal Alchemist to read. Man. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
Hi. It’s Saturday. I’ve got my Saturday shorts on and I’m feeling alright. We usually spend today getting groceries, and I’m dead tired at the end of it. On the way home, I saw this tumblr post about pens, and a metric ton of people mentioned fountain pens. This also happens on r/journaling, and it’s making me think that I’d go crazy if I found one that’s good for writing left-handed. The thing is that, if I remember correctly, fountain pens are kinda expensive. So. Maybe for Christmas? Oh, and the new Essie collection wasn’t at the store, so that kinda sucks. Although, I do have a plan on what I’ll use for GrandFest. On a related note, there’s only Four days until… The Reckoning. I’m hoping to pull at least one all-nighter. Like, I’m thinking of having something caffeinated and binging matches throughout. Like, until dawn. Anyways, I’m about to start the uploads, and I’m thinking of making some tea first. I haven’t had any all week. I also just started the second (technically third) set of Reese’s Nancy Drew streams. I’m sleepy right now, so I doubt I’ll reach it tonight. For now, here are today’s cards:
I think I’ll spend the next 4 days just resting, actually. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡ (P.S. It’s imperative that I take note on how, right before we returned home, we encountered a car that was purchased at a dealership that’s located Minutes away from the hospital where I was born. Two things about this:
Wouldn’t you know it, a week after I started hand-writing entries, we would land on one of the most Unhinged days since 11-05-2020. Two years ago, I woke up to the news that the freaking Queen of England kicked the bucket. I literally had to check the news in order to figure out if I was hearing things correctly. And like, everyone on tumblr was celebrating and/or freaking out about that Sans vs Reigen poll on Twitter. The only thing I was thinking about the night before was how we were So Close to Splatoon 3 releasing. Even if I don’t think much about the queen, I’ll always associate her with that part in London’s Opening Ceremony with her skydiving out of the helicopter with James Bond. God, what a ceremony that was. Several months down the line, my mom and I were watching that Platinum Jubilee thing, and I remember how Awkward it was whenever someone wished that she’d live to be 100 or something. As well as those two little princes that looked bored out of their Minds. Oh, and. I managed to forget that the queen’s death anniversary was today in the first place. I heard about the start of Football Season before I realized what even happened two years ago. So, today was just a Sunday. Showered. Did my dailies. Wrote a little. It’s almost 1 in the morning and there’s kind of a lot I want to do tonight. I was going to paint my nails, but I’m already kinda tired. Besides, it’ll look better on the weekend, and I’m giving myself until Wednesday night. So, we have the Week Ever right ahead of us. For now, here are today’s cards:
That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡ (P.S. It is almost 2 in the morning and I now realize that I haven’t played Splatoon 3 today.)
So, waking up from a dream about someone not being able to pull off a magic trick wasn’t the only interesting thing about today. I woke up kinda late, but when my mom returned home, there were two books waiting for me: a Stephen King book (which I bailed on,) and… Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I kinda contemplated on reading Jane Austen when I wanted to read The Classics near the start of summer. I think this qualifies as A Start! I’m actually Stupid curious, though. I’ll begin reading after I finish this and a couple other things. So, a little while later, a notification for a Mario Paint stream from [name] popped up, so I watched that before I started on this. The Mario Paint games are so fascinating to me, and the music is just So good and iconic. Oh, and before I forget, today is ⑨-⑨, or… Cirno Day! Yay. Had to bring it up. Oh, and. If I’m not missing anything, there’s no Disc Only tomorrow. I didn’t pay That much attention to today’s stream, but according to the schedule…? Even if there’s Something Else (the presidential debate) happening the same evening, we’ll just have to find out. And if it’s next week, then maybe it’ll calm me down post-GrandFest. Oh, and. At the end of [name]’s Mario Paint stream, he followed an episode of Bob Ross in the game. YouTube must’ve realized this because Bob Ross is now All Over my recommendations. I don’t particularly mind. Now, here are the cards for this year’s Cirno⑨ Day:
Y’know? I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to read Anything before GrandFest. I guess we’ll have to find out. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡ (P.S. I cannot believe that I forgot to mention how BDG finally uploaded this year. Also, happy 2 years to Splatoon 3!! ♡)
The rain is Unleashing right now. Might be a good time to rest. GrandFest is in less than 20 hours from now. Can you believe it? I’ve got my nails painted and my bracelet ready to go. To my surprise, my teams’ ink color is Purple. I genuinely thought that it was a bright blue up until today. Like, until Last Night, I saw the promo art of Off the Hook, and I was like, “Oh.” I should probably begin to psyche myself for this weekend. Like, I still don’t think I’m ready. It’s the one thing I have left until fall starts, and I can’t help but wrack my brain over it. The immensity of this Splatfest feels almost overwhelming. But. All things must pass… Right? Oh, and. I just remembered how the next soundtrack CD is coming in three months from now. An early Christmas present for me, perhaps? (hm. Spotify must’ve realized that I’m writing about Splatoon right now.) I’m genuinely kind of nervous right now. I’ll also be Way too happy to have this over with. I think I’ll just watch the Nancy Drew streams and/or read just to keep my mind off of it for the time being. Speaking of which, I started Pride and Prejudice and Zombies last night. I’m genuinely intrigued and I’m 8 chapters in. Still, what a way to start reading Jane Austen. It’s like, in my nature to do things as strangely as possible. I don’t think I can complain, though. Anyway, I woke up at 10am — weirdly early — from a weird dream. I was also Really congested. Enough to keep me awake, anyway. That’s when I decided to get up and go downstairs for breakfast. That’s also when I realized that, A: my mom hadn’t left for work yet, and B: they were showing the end of the 2014 Stanley Cups Finals on TV, which I ended up watching the remaining 90% of. Man, if I watched that live, I would be screaming at a handful of instances. Goddamn. Yeah, so several hours later, once the game ended and I finished my dailies, I noticed that [name] finally uploaded another Pikmin 4 video. So, that’s what I watched after that. So, yeah. Can’t think of much else. After I finish this, I’ll play Animal Crossing, read, and maybe make some egg rice. For now, here are today’s cards:
There’s only three things on my mind right now:
That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
Hey. Day 1 of GrandFest. We made it. I didn’t even partake in any matches because the overworld ended up distracting me for a whole hour. I kinda adore it and all the little details. The little merch stores, the venues, and how it’s built on the area where you start the game… And, of course, the freaking concert. God, it was like, a cornucopia of memories. From listening to the second Squid Sisters concert after psychology appointments in summer 2016, waking up early for the Splatoon 2 direct in July 2017, obsessing over City of Color on the way to middle school in September 2015… Falling in love with Ebb and Flow, falling in love with Anarchy Rainbow, anxiously waiting for the concerts as they began in the middle of the night… Yeah, so it’s a literal in-game version of the same concerts with the holograms. I’ve even discovered that they even recorded new mixes for some of the songs. This includes Anarchy Rainbow and Hide and Sleek, which is great because the latter has this Awesome guitar solo. The concert mix for Headliner’s High is freaking fantastic. Gorgeous, new Marina vocals and a down-right Sexy bass guitar solo is exactly how you get to my heart. I know it’s happening all weekend, but that didn’t stop me from watching the whole thing for an entire Hour. And that’s why I haven’t participated in the splatfest yet. Oh, and Cap’n Cuttlefish and Octavio are both hangin’ out by the stalls, too. Next to them, I think, had the albums of other bands, which is cool. Moving on, I’m pretty cold and hungry right now, and I don’t have much else. The first rookie game with LA is tomorrow evening, though. Looking forward to that. Here are today’s cards:
I think I’ll actually participate when I’m less tired and hungry. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
Hi. My mom was at work all day, so you’d expect Today to be the day I actually participated in GrandFest. Well, it wasn’t. Even if I had 9 Whole Hours to do whatever, I actually didn’t do much. I caught up on my writing, and another one of my Favorite YouTubers finally uploaded this year. Finally, the gang’s all coming together. Now we need to see when Bill Wurtz will return from the war. One thing I did do today was watch LA’s first rookie game. In retrospect, there was a lot of similarities with that first pre-season game in Australia last year: It was alright. We did lose, but at least there was a fight or two that excited me. I also had to watch both games by myself for the same reason. Well, at least I saw the two guys I wanted to see. Today’s Friday the 13th, so I probably should’ve figured as much. So, last night, I scrolled through a bunch of SiIvaGunner albums, just out of curiosity, and to see what I’d want to save to my phone. I’m hoping to save Every rip on my high quality playlist, if possible. So, yeah. I’m hoping to not fall asleep at 5 in the morning. I’m not expecting anything Insane tomorrow, though. Well, there’s another game, and I’m planning on getting some Pumpkin Spice, but that’s basically it. Here are today’s cards:
How will this summer Truly end? It’s almost time to find out. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
Hi. We just got back home from going out for groceries and whatever, and it took a hearty 8 hours. Regular Saturday stuff, really. Despite some bad luck, today was really good. Actually drove out in the rain, so fall definitely feels like it’s here. I can’t wait until 2 months from now, when the rain is 5,000x heavier, and there’s still hockey to watch at 10pm. Oh, and LA’s second rookie game was today. We were at the mall when it started, so I couldn’t watch that much. LA did lose again, but I am content knowing that the guy I’m watching these for is doing a banger job. Yeah, so I currently am 17 chapters into Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve began thinking about it during anything else. It’s honestly kinda of a vibe. The real question is, will I be able to read it tonight? It’s almost 2 in the morning and I still have Splatoon and an hour of stuff to watch. And Animal Crossing. Before that, though, two things: A: there was this display of roses at the mall, which was cool. B: there’s 8/9 days until the pre-season starts, and I am Chomping at the Bit. Judging from some pictures that were posted earlier, there’s some names and faces that I need to get used to. This week will be… interesting. Before that happens, here are today’s cards:
God, I have a lot to do tonight. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
So, it was 3 in the morning last night when I realized something. I got a tumblr notification about GrandFest, and how the halfway point had already gone. After a quick check, it dawned on me that it was the literal final night, and I hadn’t participated in the slightest. So, I turn the game on, and I’m greeted with a genuinely lovely title screen, with the giant concert venue. It helped me recall that there must’ve been a new performance. Y’know. The one in the trailer back in July. And, there was. Sometime in the last month or so, Nintendo uploaded The main GrandFest song, Three Wishes. Not only did I apparently Not write down when this happened, but I didn’t actually listen to it until last night. Gotta admit, they cooked with this one. The return of the floating stages, the amount of dynamism, the way they all join with each other in the end… Fan-freaking-tastic. Finally, after sitting there in Awe at that performance, I finally sat my rear down in front of my TV and spent the next 4 hours getting my fight on. Not to brag or anything, but I think I did pretty good. Actual results notwithstanding, of course. The music that played during the matches was really cool. Rainbow Color Inkantation is a Huge mash-up of different Splatfest songs. It reminds me of Ebb and Flow Inkantation from the original KFAD tourney, honestly. The other battle song is Blushing Tide, which is like, the spiritual to Tidal Rush from the second game. It’s both of the Squid Sisters’ solos mashed up. Even if I was spoiled on the names of both songs, I have to say that I didn’t expect either of them. Once I got to the highest rank, it was already pretty bright out. After I took some screenshots in-game, I finally went to bed. 12 hours later, while I was playing some Salmon Run, they announced to results. So. Despite all our efforts, Team Present only got 2nd place. Could be worse, honestly. Team Past actually won the splatfest. I’m actually not that torn about it, since I feel that the first game is kind of under-appreciated, and it sticks out in a way that the other two games don’t. Besides, think of all the music we could get out of this. I’ve wanted more Hightide Era and Ikkan for how long now? Whatever happens, I’m eagerly waiting for it. Yeah, so that’s basically all what happened today. Since that’s over with, finally, it’s Now time for… the last week until fall. And, more importantly, until pre-season hockey Finally starts. Like I said yesterday, I am Chomping at the Bit. Even if there were pictures of the team at a soccer match last night, I still freakin’ miss my guys. Although, it’s comforting seeing other people agonize over the wait. I rarely feel like that these days. Especially since I began absolutely hating being near Anyone in fandom spaces. Now that I think about it, I wonder if there’ll be things from Splatoon 1 that have to be introduced to everyone who hasn’t played it. Like, out of everyone who’s only played 3, how many of them have heard tracks as Glorious and Absolutely Unmatched as Sucker Punch or Tentacular Circus? And like, don’t even get me Started on Inkstrike Shuffle, let alone the Sunken Scroll music, from when either contexts existed. Anyways, it 1 in the morning and I’m hungry. I’ll just do my regular stuff and hopefully get around to reading. Here are today’s cards:
Even if there’s a week until Fall and pre-season hockey, I feel like there could be a curveball or two before that happens. Not to tempt fate or anything. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
P.S. May I just say that I screwed up the dates for GrandFest a ton? It really did take me That long to realize that it was supposed to end Today. Not only that, but before I went upstairs last night, and when I woke up today, there were two things that occurred that were eerily similar to two months ago: that night, there was some major jank going on with the TV, and my mom told me that the same thing happened before that cyber-security update-related nonsense. The other thing is that, I woke up to the news that there was Another failed assassination attempt. Although, I guess freaking out over GrandFest at 3 in the morning also counts. My point is that, with all of those weird occurrences, I really should’ve seen Team Past’s victory coming. It literally was like history was repeating itself. If it’s just two months ago, then I wouldn’t mind another masked silhouette to swoon over. That’d be nice ♡
Okay. Day 1 of having the house (technically) by myself. I’m really boring when it comes to this, so I kinda just sat around. Watched the uploads. Did some Salmon Run. Continued the album trek. The usual. Since my period started yesterday, I’ve just felt too tired to really do anything. I actually have 20 minutes left of today’s AA6 episode, but I felt like writing this before anything else. So, my mom just texted me that my Squid Sisters amiibo should be getting here on the third of next month. Since that’s almost a month after it released, I sure hope that they do get here by then. Moving on, I woke up to some hockey stuff earlier, and… it actually sounds like LA is getting rid of what caused that weird coin-flip thing from near the end of last season. It felt like a gamble when it came to how well they played that night. If that’s what just ended, then good. riddance. Even still, I need to see for myself. So, I don’t have a lot of plans for tonight. I might continue writing or just read after I play Animal Crossing. I guess I could chill with the rest of the Nancy Drew streams. I’ll just improvise with how I’m feeling. Here are today’s cards:
Man, I’m so tired right now. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
P.S. You would not Believe the whiplash I just got from seeing [name] credited in an album full of the Most Famous SiivaGunner rips. Jesus. It’s really a small world after all ♡
The last weekend before hockey. Can you believe it?! Before that, though, it’s time for rice. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
What a freaking Week this’ll be, huh? Exciting! That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
If there’s one thing, then it’s good that I’m starting this early. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
It’s going to be almost 90 degrees out tomorrow and I’m not looking forward to it. It, on the contrary, Needs to rain on Wednesday. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure 09-23-24 ♡
I’m finally listening to Danse Macabre, and it’s making me really happy. I also have more Zelda to watch. Yay Oh, and the We ♡ Katamari soundtrack is Finally on Spotify. That also makes me really happy. That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
That’s it for now. Toute à l’heure ♡
September 2024 ends on a high note!! When I finished my dailies for the day, I set off to Finally finish reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It almost took me 3 weeks after I first obtained it. I still have a lot to read, though. There are 7 books on my desk, and 6 of them I haven’t even started. Although. I’m sure it won’t take me 3 weeks to only finish one of them. This really is Bookworm Autumn, huh? So, I ended up finishing it an hour before the game started, which didn’t give me a lot of time. Which is why I just hung around before 7. I made egg rice and enjoyed a banger game! We managed to shut out Anaheim, which is the best possible result. It’s what should’ve happened when I watched LA at Anaheim in person, but better late than never. The next two games are against Boston and Florida, which is honestly a bit intimidating. Not only that, but this Saturday’s game is the last one for the pre-season. The Thursday after that is when hockey starts For Realsies. Yeah, so I now have 4 hours of Zelda to watch. Not only that, but I want to paint my nails Tonight. I’ll probably at least play Animal Crossing before that, and hopefully something else when my nails are dry. That’s it for the month. Quite possibly the last stop before things kick into High Gear. Here are today’s cards:
