Background: basically Just Some Guy,™ despite being an empath. An only child. Noah works at the same school that the Faulkners go to as some kinda assistant. Very little people actually know that the school is slowly taken over by the lackeys of someone aspiring to make two worlds merge into one. Noah begrudgingly follows them, but he himself is looked at with curiosity by the "voyager" due to being close to Emily, a person of interest to them. It turns out that the "voyager" knows his ancestral history, and how they knew Emily as Elysia.

He is pretty fond of the triplets and buys into almost every one of their words. There's a non-zero chance of any one of them (Lucy) taking advantage of it. Treats basically everyone in a benevolent manner, but is protective of Emily. He'll grow cold if he senses somebody is trying to figure out her identity.

He's terrified of the "voyager" and their lackeys realizing who she actually is. Noah wasn't really noticed at his workplace (other than That Guy with the Abbot Relations™) until the identity of this girl was sensed by him, and the rumor exploded. Ever since, he's been (forced) used as a scout to scope out the true identity, since he kept it a secret. He was able to sense the intrigue the people around him felt as he realized that they're all against the girl's actions. The voyager has attempted prying out the answer out of him, but to no avail.

The presence of strong emotions worries him, sometimes to an overwhelming degree. Noah occasionally spots a particularly tall, long-haired woman with Emily, but feels like it'd be rude to ask about her, despite his strange speculations telling him to.

Is the "genuinely nice" to Emily's "trying to be nice."

Totally doesn't have a royal history related to the ancient three kingdoms that's now the tri-state area/metro Aspen County.

He's very confused over most things. Like how the school he works at happens to be the HQ for some sort of supervillain, the fact that a younger relative has a secret identity, (that the supervillain is using him to seek out for) or why he feels as deeply as he does all the time. Noah's unsure how all of it even started in the first place.

He's only in the cult because it's based where he works. And how the "voyager" is aware of Noah's ancestry. He's shunned by the others due to not being as prolific or obedient. So, he gets a boost of attention when that rumour explodes. Noah was blackmailed into joining, since he was convinced that he'd find out anything about his past or even his ancestry. Before he knew it, he was drowning in a golden cloak and at the beck and call of the "voyager" against his will. The cloaks are spellbound to make whoever wears it part of the “voyager”’s hivemind, and everytime someone takes it off, it causes them to gradually forget anything. Echoes of the "voyager's" abilities are remnant in the spellbound cloaks. Under its spell, one has already mastered the leader's curses and dark magic. Despite being strangers with almost the entire cult, they're the only other company that Noah has. The hivemind causes an eerie sense of belonging within him, consuming him.

Usually, Noah dotes on Emily, as they're both really close. He tries to keep it consistent, even if work doesn't let him. However, he might actually lose his mind if/whenever she gets hurt. Even with his vague knowledge of how Emily is his, and everyone's, knight in shining armour. Bewildered, he treats Emily a bit differently whenever she's transformed. He hasn't quite grasped on exactly what she's capable of as Scarlett Elegance.

The cult has done rituals (which Noah has participated in… forcedly.) that were occasionally failures, but didn't fail in genuinely haunting him. He's lost lots of sleep because of them. Noah looks kind, mild-mannered, and unassuming. This causes people to take advantage of him.

Tends to act like a butler for Emily.

Noah is a desk receptionist in the school's main building. He also attends to any staff member who walks by. The school as a whole isn't that familiar to him, so he only knows the middle school portions and wherever the cult gathers. He's not too familiar with his regular co-workers, but they look down at him and treat him like a little brother.

A side effect of Mercurius' control is that it increases Noah's empathy and sensitivity towards other's emotions by an abnormal, overwhelming degree. Normal environments start to give Noah these sickening migraines. He begins to go through hell and back just to deal with everyday scenarios, and could collapse at any moment. His entire body pulsates like a beating heart.

Noah has a pocket watch that traces back to the Crysanthia royal family. However, he's not aware of its origins. It's weirdly elaborate, since it was created by Mercurius. Not only can it tell time, it can also measure zodiac seasons and moon phases. It was originally for someone else, either a family member, or a different monarch in the three kingdoms.

Whenever she's offered, Emily will wear one of Noah's sweaters and hoodies. He can easily sense when she's cold, anyway.

Noah woke up one day early during sophomore year and had this headache that went off the rails whenever he was at school or anywhere in public. It felt like everyone in class had it out for him, even if nothing was going on. It wasn't until he found himself with a small group of people, that he realized that he could sense what each person was feeling, and he could easily resonate with it. With or without intention. Such strangely deep empathy made him loopy. It didn't have a lot of outside effect until the day he found himself in the school basement during 10th grade homecoming. Years later, he still returns to the school basement against his better will, ever since he stumbled upon the Order of Our Lord, the Almighty Mercurius. The chance occurrence would change and even devour him entirely, and became a deadly secret. Even if it became part of him, it still was something he hated with a fevered passion.

The Order of Our Lord, the Almighty Mercurius: Noah hated it with every fiber of his being. Every night, he found himself in the midst of this herd of brainless, golden-cloaked drones, exposed to Mercurius' horrid deeds and foul nature. Every week, an innocent person would be killed and sacrificed for the sake of some higher being. And yet, Noah couldn't leave, for he would become the next sacrifice. The blood-curdling shrieks of sacrificed victims haunted him every night. For fear that someone he loved would be killed, by what he feels like are his own hands. On top of that, the head of the cult is Noah's own ancestor.

Noah was often heckled with and belittled in high school specifically. His thick glasses and lanky form made him an easy target. No one really believed he was one of Those Abbots, or took his last name seriously. So, when the meager student awoke to his empathic abilities one day, things began to change drastically.
